Pinned topic User Credential using the CE API

‏2012-05-22T03:56:21Z |
We would like to integrate the FileNet search result using FileNet API into our customized program. Since the user creditial has been granted, does it possible to pass the user credential to FileNet when calling the API instead of "Username", "Password"?

In addition, besides of FileNet CE API, is there any other API that we can use to pass the "SEARCH" query into FileNet and get the "SEARCH Result" with the access control checked?

Thanks in advance for your valuable information.

Esther

    Hi Esther,

Please tell us a bit about your environment and application. Is your custom-developed application running on the same application server (WebSphere Application Server, for example)?

Your requirements can definitely be accomodated. It all just depends on much extra work needs to be done, and that depends on the details around your application wrt authentication/authorization.

    Thanks.

      Hi Mattias,

My custom-developed application does not run on the same application server. It runs on another IIS server with window authenticated under the same intranet environment. Is this still possible to get use the same user token ?

      Regards,
      Esther

Interesting. You should be able to get Kerberos working.
