Pinned topic Request Scope Issue in Websphere Portal Server 7.0(Bean Data not retaining)

‏2012-05-17T06:17:46Z |
Hi,

I have developed faces portlets in Websphere portal server 6.1.
Now we are moving portlets to Websphere poral server 7.0.

But Iam facing strange issue in Portal 7.
Data present in bean class not retaining in portal7.

Bean class declaration in faces-config.xml:-
Common Bean is defined in faces-config.xml in request scope.
<managed-bean>
<managed-bean-name>commonBean</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>CommonBean</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
</managed-bean>

Getting the bean object in controller class:-
CommonBean commonBean = (CommonBean)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication().createValueBinding("#{commonBean}").getValue(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());

If I use this statement to get the bean class in portal6.1 it works fine.I will be able to get all the data present in bean class.

But same portlet if I deploy in portal7.0 i am not getting the data,data is not retaining.

please suggest me if u have across this.
If am not clear,please let me know.

Thanks,
K.Kiran Kumar
