Pinned topic online to batch

‏2012-05-16T13:10:52Z |
Hello, i'm dealing with the following requirement.
I'm working on a project, and we have to migrate some mainframe apps to sap.
So, the problem now is, change some online programs (cobol/cics) to batch.

For example, most of the pgms just have EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM ('programX'), but the problem is how to modify the COMMAREAS from CICS to batch.

What considerations should I have to do that? I know it's not so easy to do this, but we have to do it.

Regards.!

We shouldn't help someone who wants to migrate away from wonderful mainframe. ;-)))

An E.C. Link is nearly like a call with two parameters: EIB and CA in that order. Helps that?

      Hi Ralf,
Its not precisely a migration but a replication of a module from online to batch. There is a replication of the online mainframe progs to SAP programs, using batch processes running on mainframe.
So, I have to replace the online functions by batch process.
Lets say that the most used command is E.C. Link, but I have others like ASKTIME, INVOKINPROG,

By the way, your relpy helps me.

      Regards,

      Juan Cruz.
