We have the following issue:
When we try to access a directory of our site using the URL with a trailing slash, for example "http://www.example.com/root/dir1/dir2/". We get 404 sent by the application server, this is ok as we can handle the error in the web.xml file, but when there is no trailing slash http://www.example.com/root/dir1/dir2 we get error 500 in the browser, we have tried handling this error in the web.xml file and also in IHS with no success.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Error 500 when no trailing slash used2012-05-16T14:31:38ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer.Check the SystemOut and SystemError logs of the application server. 500 is a "catch all" error code returned by HTTP server. The actual problem is in your application.
