Pinned topic WAS 8.0 Installation Error: asks different disk

‏2012-05-14T10:40:24Z |
I am trying to install Demo version of RAD 8.0 package which contains Rational Application Developer 8.0 and WebSphere Application Server 8.0

During installation, it asks different disks (CD or downloaded folder) for both of the above products. I am able to supply the disks for RAD 8.0 but I am not able to find these for WAS 8.0

Can you please help me by providing the url where I can download the folder and I can supply for the installation.

Disks (installation folders) I have downloaded from the location:

Please help as I need it on highest priority.

Best Regards.

Re: WAS 8.0 Installation Error: asks different disk

If you already have IBM Installation Manager installed on your machine, then the repositories listed below can be manually added to Installation Manager by going to File > Preferences > Repositories and then using the Add Repositories dialog to add them.

The first four repositories are for the Express, Base, Developers and Network Deployment editions of WebSphere Application Server.

The fifth repository contains the IBM HTTP Server, should you want to try using a web server as a front-end to your application server. Be sure to add the Supplements respository too and install the WebSphere Customization Toolbox to have access to the Web Server Plug-ins and the Web Server Plug-ins Configuration Tool.

The last repository contains a collection of Supplemental offerings, including:
    • Web Server Plug-ins for WebSphere Application Server, which will be needed to get a web server to communicate with the WebSphere Application Server.
    • WebSphere Customization Toolbox, which contains tools such as the Profile Management Tool for z/OS and Migration Management Tool for z/OS for use with WebSphere Application Server for z/OS. It also has the Web Server Plug-ins Configuration Tool which greatly facilitates the configuring of communication between the web server and the application server via the web server plug-ins.
    • Pluggable Application Clients and Application Clients, which includes resources and clients to aid development of application clients for use with WebSphere Application Server.
