Pinned topic Trouble with LANFree configuration

‏2012-05-12T21:32:27Z |
Hello
I try to configure TSM Server with LANFree backups to IBM TS3200 tape library. TSM Server is installed on Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine, all client hosts are Oracle 5.6 machines. Here are config files for Storage Agent and backup/archive client (they are both installed on the same machine with hostname SR11, TSM Server's hostname is WIN-GB00N32B25M and it's IP added as "TSM" in /etc/hosts on the client host):

code
  1. cat lb.conf
HOST[0]=5
CHANNEL[0]=0
ID[0]=1
LUN[0]=1
[/code]

code
  1. cat mt.conf
HOST[0]=5
CHANNEL[0]=0
ID[0]=1
LUN[0]=0

HOST[1]=6
CHANNEL[1]=0
ID[1]=0
LUN[1]=0
[/code]

code
  1. cat dsmsta.opt

code
  1. ./ddinfo

there are 2 devices in mt.conf
there are 0 devices in op.conf

[/code]

As shown above ddinfo produces correct output by itself, but when I issue tsmscsi command, the output somehow changes:
code
  1. ./tsmscsi
21 sg

there are 2 devices in mt.conf
there are 0 devices in op.conf

And, then I start Storage Agent and try to backup something to the tape, backup operation takes a lot of time and then produces an error:

validate lanfree sr11 sr11agent issued in the server console says that configuration is OK.

Please, help to make all this stuff work.

    Communication you have, so i think that the main problem is with the devices.

    This drive path its ok?
    /dev/tsmscsi/*mt*0

    Sorry i use unix lan free, and normally all my devices are declared as /dev/../*rmt*#
