Pinned topic Waiting to connect pipe when IDMT is required to move data

‏2012-05-02T22:13:25Z |
Dear Colleagues.
I'm right now following the five points that constitute the procedure to import the DDL and Data described in the V. S. Khatri's article about the IBM Data Movement Tool. It appears to me that points 1 (set extract rows equal 1), 2 (extract ddl/data) and 3 (deploy) have been properly executed, because I see by means of DataStudio all the objects created by the DDL. While step 4 is trivial (use pipe) the last step enters a waiting pipe condition for each thread, as described by "Waiting for DB2 Load thread[3] to connect to the pipe ./data/pcsethan_pcsclass_0000123.pipe". Here is the initial part of th log file:

Re: Waiting to connect pipe when IDMT is required to move data

    ‏2012-05-23T21:05:48Z  in response to SystemAdmin
How did you resolve this. I have the same problem when trying to pipe data from an old DB2 server to its New replacement database server. If I only select 1 table then it will complete successfully. Would like to be able to move at least 10 - 20 tables at a time.
