Pinned topic what rules HACMP assign persistent ip to network card?

‏2012-04-27T17:12:25Z |
I have two network cards, such as
en0 10.22.33.33
en1 10.22.34.34

and service ip is 192.168.100.11
and persistent ip is 192.168.100.100.

My question is when my system boot on, my persistent ip address should be alias at en0 or en1?

any rules for this?

Thanks

I think you cannot define a rule on which specific interface the alias should be. But there are options to tell HACMP how to distribute service and presistent labels between the interfaces. See this link for details http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/aix/v7r1/topic/com.ibm.aix.hacmp.plangd/ha_plan_type_distribution.htm
