Taming DB2 for z/OS Dynamic SQL with Optim pureQuery Runtime
Dynamic SQL has become pervasive in DB2 for z/OS systems, and that presents mainframe DB2 people with some challenges. IBM's InfoSphere Optim pureQuery Runtime offering addresses these challenges through its ability to substitute static SQL for dynamic SQL issued by JDBC- and CLI/ODBC-using client applications (with no need for client-side program code changes). pureQuery also provides features that can boost programmer productivity and improve SQL performance for new DB2-accessing Java applications.
