Pinned topic ODBC on Linux for SQL Server...

‏2012-03-20T00:31:58Z |
Hi Guys,

We have successfully used the Easysoft ODBC drivers in C8.4 for connecting to a SQL Server DB - however, this no longer seems to work in 10.1.1.

Has anyone got any experience with this, or knowledge of ODBC changes in 10.1.1 that may explain this?

I know the Easysoft drivers are not supported, so they've never been guaranteed to work, but I was still hopeful we could use them.

Also, the Data Source wizard refers to JDBC and OLE DB options for SQL Server - are these for windows only, or is there an option for using these on Linux as well?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
Mick

Don't worry we've sorted it! It was a 64bit version of the driver when we needed 32.

I am glad you figured it out. For future reference, the JDBC configuration tab will let you configure the JDBC driver for dynamic query mode. You will need to modify the package to use DQM if you want to try to use JDBC in the future.
