We currently run "sctpctrl" to load (reload, etc) the SCTP device driver on AIX 7.1. It seems a non-typical way to enable AIX support. Any idea if/when there are plans to make that support "built-in", "persistent" across reboots, configured by smit, ... ?

I suppose "non-typical" is a matter of perspective; however, a number of things are loaded at boot time...that's the whole idea behind /etc/inittab. What is the major concern/argument against using sctpctrl?
