Pinned topic MSG DFHSR0601 during initialization of CICS/TS V4.2 developers trial

‏2012-03-09T16:51:07Z |
During a startup of my test region I get message

+DFHSR0601 DEV1LPAR Program interrupt occurred with system task III in control

I get an SVC dump and the region abends. Looking at the dump I think it happens after the load of program EQA0OSM and the interrupt is a S0C1. We are running z/OS 1.11. Any ideas as to how to address this?

Thank you,
Rick

If this is the very first time you tried to bring it up, have you initialized the Catalogs (LCD and GCD) are are you doing an INITIAL start ?

Yes, both have been freshly defined and initialized. The start is initial.

    Hello,

EQAnnnnn modules are IBM Debugtool modules. I would suggest removing these libraries from your CICS startup JCL, hopefully this should get your system started up. I think that Debugtool V10 + Support Apar is needed for CICS TS 4.2 (looking on the IBM support site there is an APAR for 10.1 supporting CICS TS 4.2 open beta):

    https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1PM34470

    Hope that helps

Thank you, that got the region up. I should have thought of that.
