hello all,

is there a way to launch doors 9.3 by by pre-defining username and password.?
for example:if i launch doors application it should directly open the app without prompting me for user name and password.

The following syntax will work when run from the DOS Command line or in a batch file for DOORS v9.2, should be the same for v9.3 (click here for on-line help). Just need to know the port number and hostname for the DOORS DB server.

    "C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.2\bin\doors.exe" -data < port number >@< host name > -user < Username > -password < Password >

You only need this part if you are re-directing DOORS to some other database:
-data < port number >@< host name >

The DOORS database could be configured to use "system user names". Each DOOR user is assigned a System User name, presumably spelled identically, and no system user name is assigned to more than one DOORS name. Then if you are logged into your computer as "JohnDoe" and start DOORS, you would automatically log in as DOORS user "JohnDoe".
