‏2012-03-01T04:52:24Z |
We have an application which was built on WAS 7.0 ND on AIX. Now we plan to setup a silmiar envioroment for testing purpose. Since AIX and Linux are simlar platform and WAS ND is built on open standards, We would like to ask whether WAS ND can provide same functions ans features no matter Linux or AIX is used?

Yes, WAS ND can provide the same function and features regardless of the platform on which it is running.

Because the application was built to run on WAS ND v7.0, I recommend that you use the WAS Application Migration Toolkit to evaluate the readiness of your application for use with WAS ND v8.0. The WAS Application Migration Toolkit is freely available on the developerWorks website:

Keep us posted on your progress.
