Pinned topic IDMT to move data from DB2 LUW on windows server to AIX

‏2012-02-22T16:14:07Z |
I'm trying to use IBM Data Movement Tool to move tables from a 9.7 instance on a windows server to a 9.7 instance on an AIX server. I get an error in the unload saying that the table is missing but the table does exist. I've tried a couple different tables but get the error each time. I verified the server, port, ID and password are all correct. I also cataloged the windows database on the unix server and I'm able to connect to the windows database from the unix instance.

Can you please post the detailed message from the log?

This is most probably the permission issue.

    Try:

db2 connect to <db> on aix as instance user
db2 grant dbadm on database to user <username who is using the tool>

I think you will be better off just using the db2move utility. The IXF file format that it uses is platform-independent.
