Pinned topic Problem with java code to call Web service

Hi all

i have dowloaded this code to call a web service from HATS business logic (https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21403960) but i receve the error: openConnection() method is not defined for the type URL.
At the begin of source i have :
java.net.HttpURLConnection

any idea how to solve this problem

    Hi..

    Is your source referring to "java.net.URL". (in the import statement).

    URL.openConnection() does exist from Java 1.0.
    http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/api/java/net/URL.html#openConnection%28%29
