After upgrading IBM CM from v.8.4.2 to 8.4.3.1, when trying to reconfigure CM (Program Files\IBM\db2cmv8\bin\config_CM.bat), there was error (fragment from Program Files\IBM\db2cmv8\log\cmconfig.log):

012-02-20 09:07:48.096 DEBUG:: SetConstantsFromList.00062 rcPropertyName = ()

CM works but I need to enable Text Search. Is there any other way to enable Text Search?

    If creating a new Library server database, you need to check the boxes for ‘Unicode’ and ‘Enable Text Search’ while 'Adding a Configuration'. When Unicode is enabled, the data base uses code page 1208, which enables UTF-8 Unicode. This is said to decrease the performance of the database, so it is recommended to only use if needed, which for text search, you do.

    If enabling an existing library server, you can check what the code page is of the db with the command 'db2 get db config' and checking the line 'Database code page' and verify that the value is 1208. I am not sure if this can be changed on an existing db.

    The equivalent of checking the ‘Enable Text Search’ box is issuing the command:
    db2text enable database for text connect to <database name>

    CM8 reconfiguration cannot enable text search.
    If you want to enable text search after fresh create 1 new CM, you can use the following steps.
    1. db2text enable database for text connect to icmnlsdb user icmadmin using password
    2. Use sysadmin client to enable library server's text search.
