Pinned topic Issue on Cast Iron flat file schema

‏2012-02-18T04:45:53Z |
We have some trouble parsing a flat file using Cast Iron flat file schema builder.

The file structure is like:
Hxxxxxx...
Lxxxxxxxxx...
Lxxxxxxxxx...
Hxxxxxx...
Lxxxxxxxxx...
Hxxxxxx...
Lxxxxxxxxx...
...

The data on each line is positional.
The Header line ('H' structure) is followed by an unbound number of lines ('L' structure), possibly followed with more blocks of a header line and multiple lines.

We are able to get the first set of 'H' followed by unbound 'L' lines. It only reads until it reaches the second header line and data beyond this line is not parsed.
We tried a number of configurations for the flat file schema but unable to make it to correctly parse the entire file.
Do we have any sample FF schema to parse the entire dataset that are positional with repeat unbounded structure?

Use groups concept in flat file schema. Make L records as single group. Then it will be easy for you to parse this type of data.
