Does anyone know if when using ISD 6.3 and Storage Control to manage XIV storage.
1) If SVC is required ?
2) If SVC is not required are there limitations to not using SVC ?
I understand you can make XIV storage available by using the mkdatasource smcli command. The page also provides examples of using an SVC. Any thoughts? Thanks

Re: ISD Storage Control XIV and SVC ?2012-02-16T18:47:19Z in response to mainresearchJust to add - I have found that SVC is not required for XIV when used with ISD and Storage control.
Has anyone anything to add on any limitations to using this scenario or advantages over using SVC? Thanks
