I need to monitor a J2SE application using ITCAM J2EE Agents - Data Collector and Tivoli Enterprise monitoring agent(TEMA).
I have installed and configured Data collector for My J2SE application. I have also installed and configured TEMA agent for this application instance. I am using ITM Tivoli Enterprise portal server(TEPS) to check for status of ITCAM TEMA agent. But TEPS only shows that TEMA is listening for data collector on port 63336 but doesn't show any data. When J2SE application is started through the launcher script, data collector starts and log is also created. But daat collector and TEMA are not communicating. I am attaching one snapshot below. Please let me know if anyone has any idea ?
I have also installed the ITCAM J2EE Managing server, but I don't see data collector listed on managing server URL under "Administration->Server Management->Data Collecotr Configuration-> Unconfigured Data collectors". So do I need to do any post configuration for managing server ?
Please suggest some links or solution if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Re: ITCAM Data collector doesn't communicate with ITCAM TEMA2012-02-10T22:19:02ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer. There was a problem with this symptom at the fix pack 4 version of the J2EE agent and J2SE DC; so first thing is to apply recommended fixes to the MS, agent, and DC; see http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?&uid=swg21416330
Also, the latest documentation for configuring the J2SE DC is at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v24r1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.itcamfad.doc_7101/J2EE_agent_dc_install_guide/itcam_61_4_j2ee_dc_install_guide55.html
If you're at recommended fix level and you've followed the documented steps, at that point you should open a PMR for the problem.

I installed FP5 and FP6 for both Data collecotor and ITCAM TEMA for J2EE.
And also added one property in dc.propeties file as mentioned in the link -
Now its working fine. I can see data on TEPS under TEMA.
