Pinned topic V7000 SNMP Trap

‏2012-02-08T02:13:09Z |
Hi all,
I need your help about SNMP Trap from V7000.

V7000:2076-124
S/W version:6.2.0.4

When I didn't clear the Alert,
(I mean... I didn't fix the Alert at Event Log on Web Console.)
I confirm the SNMP Traps were send every 25 hours from V7000.

Q1. Is this V7000's function?
Q2. Q1 is Yes, how can i control the trap.

Hopefully, anyone tell me.

Thank you

SVC/V7000 systems will automatically resend a notification for the highest priority unfixed error every 24-25 hours (approx). That behaviour is working as designed.

The repeat notifications for an event will stop when the problem has been marked as fixed (i.e. resolved).

I'm not sure what you are asking by "how can i control the trap"

    Very thanks chris.

    and I still have questions.

    >That behaviour is working as designed.
How could you notice it, are there any manual?

    >I'm not sure what you are asking by "how can i control the trap"
I mean, "can I change the interval from 24-25 hours to 12-13 hours?"

    Thank you for your help

Sorry, that specific re-send behaviour doesn't appear to be mentioned in the user documentation. However, I can assure you that it is intentional (the product has been doing this since version 1.1.0.0 :-). If you needed official confirmation from IBM for any reason then you could always raise a software support ticket.

There are currently no user-configurable settings available for this resend behaviour.

    Best regards
