‏2012-01-31T11:01:18Z |
Hi,

I am trying to install tivoli workload scheduler in redhat Linux.

I do not use GUI. what would be the best method to install TWS? after installting TWS, should i need to separatly install job scheduling console as well?

Also, I am completly new to tivoli and my project has only one linux server where oracle, informatica is installed. we are installing tivoli to monitor them. so I do not need to worry about multi agent, domain architecture right.

Please help me

Can you provide a little more detail about the version of the workload scheduler and the Red Hat installation. I believe there are some Tivoli products that demand a GUI and I want to make sure that I'm looking in the right direction.

    Cheers!

      Sure Chris.

It is Red Hat 4.1.2-48 (Linux version 2.6.18-194.11.1.el5).

I am trying to install tivoli workload scheduler 8.5.
The problem is that I do not have any idea on this installation. Please help me.

You should be able to do your installation via the launchpad.sh. You can see detailed documentation on this in the on-line documentation. If you are using the Installation Wizard, you will need to have a graphical environment running. You could just fire up a minimal X environment for this purpose and then turn it off when you're done.

Silent installation might also work for you. In this mode you fill in some configuration files with all of the necessary information and then the install runs without prompting you for everything.

If I remember correctly you need supported browser to do GUI installation.
