Is there any way to secure HTTP and Web Service endpoints (provide) with usernames and passwords (such as basic authentication)?

Re: Securing HTTP and Web Service Endpoints with Passwords2012-02-06T20:45:48Z in response to GregWilhelmThe WMC can be configured to authenticate against Active Directory / LDAP, but I don't think we can do the same for the orchestrations. You can set the user name and password in the header from your client and call the HTTP/Web Service endpoints. However, it is not secure if you do not secure it using HTTPS/Certificates as the HTTP headers are passed in clear text. So if you can secure using HTTPS/certificates and send credentials with the headers, you can have custom database or web service and authenticate using it.
