Pinned topic XI50 error after 4.0.2.1 update

‏2011-12-01T17:13:35Z |
We just updated to 4.0.2.1 from 3.7.something..
Incoming WSProxy services still work, but outgoing WSProxy services produce this error in the log:

0x0113001c wsgw (SOAMS_Prod_WSProxy): Connection error

0x80e006c1 wsgw (SOAMS_Prod_WSProxy): Error in stream. Descriptor number unavailable. Additional information: Write error (8) Descriptor is Ok (0)

0x80e0012c wsgw (SOAMS_Prod_WSProxy): Network Error on back side server https://ws.mgsapps.monster.com:443/gateway/services/SID0003005

and DP returns "Internal Error"

Any ideas?
I haven't seen the descriptor number before.. do I need to change my services to accommodate this?

Thanks!

    Hi karlan,

This message was introduced in 4.0.1.0 and simply indicates that there was a write error on a connection using SSL. This is the reason why you did not see it earlier.

So far, I have tried the SSL cipher corrections relating to Default SSL cipher suite configuration change in DataPower 3.8.0.0 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21406481) and allowing insecure SSL connections on the SSLProxyProfiles.

Found it.. I missed the insecure config on one of my SSLProxyProfiles. X-(

Thanks, Nicholas. You helped me find the real SSL handshake error in the default domain.

    Karlan,

Could you please identify the changes that you had to make to get past this error? I am having the same issue with my web service proxy connecting to a backed HTTPS service, but have not been able to identify/rectify the problem.

    Is this error code

0x80e 0012c/Network Error on back side server

    available/stored in any dp service/error variable ?.

    Thanks!

    Hi Karlan,

How did you solve this issue? what changes did you make? I have been seeing the same issue.

mpgw (): Error in stream (117). Local(x.x.x.x) - Remote(x.x.x.x). Additional information: Write error (8) Descriptor is Ok (0)

    Thanks
