Pinned topic Tivoli Storage Manager 6.2.3 - VMware merge datastores

‏2011-11-23T11:34:04Z |
We're supporting a Disaster Recovery Test, where a virtual environment so defined:
  • VMware ESX 3.5
  • backed up with TSM Server v.
  • TSM client
is restored in a virtual environment (restore virtual to virtual) so defined:
  • VSphere 4.1 update 1
  • vCenter 4.1 with VMware cluster of N hosts
  • TSM Server v.5.5
  • TSM client
  • storage with 14 lun 1 TB each, merged in an unique datastore vmfs3 of 14 TB.
Some restore end with this failure in TSM Client log:
You have requested access to an area of the virtual disk that is out of bounds."
I cant'find any information about a topic like this.
Could TSM Client 6.2/6.3 incompatible with VMware volumes merged?

Re: Tivoli Storage Manager 6.2.3 - VMware merge datastores

Hi I'm testing an install of TSMVE and I'm getting this message when I attempt to restore a Test VM.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I'll put a full post on in a second...
