After I have installed the Rhapsody 7.5.3 to Windows 7,although the system is better than the computer which I was using the rahapsody in Windows XP,compiler becomes too slow.Compiling time and linking time takes too long as regarding to Windows XP.Is there a way to improve the compiler process?

Re: Compiler Too Slow in Windows 72011-11-17T10:03:52Z in response to universboyAre you using the same compiler/environment?
msvc9 (VS2008) is slower than microsoft (VS2006).
I managed to speed it up a bit by using the /MP compiler switch to benefit from my multicore processor.
Someone else apparently saw improved build times by changing a property BuildErrorHandling from model to code.

We have worst case scenarios where we compile all the files in like 30 seconds and then Rhapsody keeps spitting out the results for another 10 minutes (no thats not an exhageration). We have made an RFE asking them to speed up the parsing.

Re: Compiler Too Slow in Windows 72012-12-23T23:40:49Z in response to universboyTry to add -j flag in the make command (see Share\etc\vx6make.bat file) or find appropriate option in Workbench project (if you use worflow or platform integration Rhapsody plugins).
-j [N], --jobs=N - allow N jobs at once; infinite jobs with no arg.
