    Hi Kevin,

The current process is to send an e-mail to your IBM Sales or Techincal Sales Specialist and they will submit the requirement on your behalf.

    Hi Kevin,

Yes, we are planning to put all of the CICS Tools and CICS Transaction Server, and the PD Tools onto RFE. I don't have a date for you yet, but I think it will be reasonably soon, so you may want to hold off raising your requirement the old way and wait till get get the tools live on RFE.

I think RFE promises to be a vary valuable tool for us all. As customers you will be able to raise your own requirements directly, as well as see other customers requirements (if they had elected to make them public, discuss them, and add your own voice in support. You'll also get almost immediate feedback on status changes, unlike with the current system.

RFE will also apply to the plug-ins. They are an integral part of many of our products. I'll post something here when our RFE system is live.

    Regards,
    John

OK, thanks for the prompt reply. When that time comes, maybe a "sticky" post to the forums about RFEs would be a good thing? Get it advertised?

Hi Kevin, this is what you've been waiting for:

You can now raise and track requirements for CICS Transaction Server, CICS Explorer, TXSeries, WXTR, the IBM CICS Tools, and CICS Transaction Gateway using the new IBM RFE system. Exisiting FITS requirements are currently being processed, and will either be transferred to RFE or closed and returned.

On the Search RFE page, select Brand: WebSphere.
Select Product Family: Transaction Processing - for CICS Transaction Server, TXSeries and WXTR.
Select Product Family: Enterprise Tooling - for the CICS Tools.

Raise CICS Explorer base requirements against the Explorer component of CICS TS.
Raise plug-in requirements against the Explorer component of related product.

    Hi John,

Hmmm.........when I get to this URL:

    https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/?BRAND_ID=181

under Websphere, I don't see an entry for selection under "Enterpise Tooling".

That's the URL fro the WebSphere brand page, and you can find the CICS Tools all listed in the Products pull-down menu. If you follow the Search or Raise links on the WebSphere page, you will see the Brand, Product and Component pull-downs I referred to.

OK, see it now (must be getting blind in my old age as I could have sworn that I didn't yesterday <g>).

No specific entry for CICS Explorer under "Enterprise Tooling" though?
