Pinned topic DS3500 (and others) Host Type settings?

We just recently implemented an iSCSI DS3512 subsystem for a project, and have run into a small issue. Part of the project runs under a Linux cluster (which works fine) and the other part is a set of Windows Server 2008 R2 boxes that need shared access to a LUN (not necessarily clustering)

In DS Storage Manager, when you define a host or host group, you have to choose a Host Type to set the OS that will be accessing the LUN(s) you present to the group. I've looked in the Redbooks, in the online tech support, etc. and cannot find the explanation of what different settings the different host types enable/disable. So here's my questions:

1. What is the difference between the following 3 host types:

    Did you ever get an answer to this question? I have a similar situation. Were you able to change the host type to clustered?
