Pinned topic Problem Running Samples in Emulator: "Application Stopped Unexpectedly"

‏2011-11-11T21:15:37Z |
Hi, folks.
I'm trying to get the MobileTechPreview samples to run on the Android emulator via Eclipse Indigo on MacOSX 10.7.2. I've managed to install the Android SDK (API 8). I've imported (no copy) and built the MobileTechPreview projects (dated 2011-11-03) with no errors.
MobileTechPreview-android-20111031-1421.zip

Whenever I run one of the samples, though, I get the following error in the emulator:
"The application Dojo Showcase (process com.ibm.mobile.dojoshowcase) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
(Where com.ibm.mobile.dojoshowcase is the appropriate class file.)

Any idea what might cause this?
Here's the console log for a recent launch:

    Hi Jason,
I expect that this is a symptom of the issues described in this thread: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=394887&tstart=0.

If you used Eclipse's File->Import... path to import, you'll probably need to clean up the build path entries for your project to ensure that the 'src' and 'gen' directories are defined as source directories to eclipse. You may also have to do some fix-ups to the output folders for each. Its faster and easier to wipe out that project and re-import from the zip content, using File->New->Project->Android Project (use existing source).

Please let us know what you find.

    Thanks!

I created a new workspace and used File -> New Project to bring the projects in. The samples run now. Thanks, Jeff!
