Using Optim Development Studio+RAD, we create a "Data project" and leverage ODS' ability to automatically create web services (REST APIs) based on SQL script files. Under the covers, ODS creates a "Web Project" and corresponding "EAR Project."
We switch to the Web perspective view and manually create a new "Filter" for the "Web Project." For example, we create a filter that logs the time to execute the web service REST call. We deploy to WebSphere and everything works great. We also create a filter to prevent "cross-site request forgery" which the automatically generated ODS web service does not prevent. The filters are chained in a filter mapping definition for the web project.
We then switch back to the "Data project" perspective and modify/enhance our SQL scripts. At this point, we build and deploy a new web service to WebSphere.
Unfortunately the "Build and deploy" destroys all of the filters and filter mappings that we have defined in the "Web project." Basically it fails to retain anything that we inject into the Web project, including WebContent folders/files.
Is it possible to retain these user create items?
Does anybody respond to these forum postings?

Yes, people do reply. I will forward your question to the relevant people but you may want to post this in the Data Studio forum http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=1086&categoryID=19 as well. Now that ODS is part of Data Studio in 3.1, many of these questions can be answered there, and this forum will be more focused just on pureQuery. Just be sure to include your product (eg if you're on ODS 2.2.1.x).

We are currently using Optim Development Studio v126.96.36.199 + Rational Application Developer 188.8.131.52 + InfoSphere Data Architect 184.108.40.206.
I have also posted to the Data Studio forum.
Maybe its time to upgrade to Data Studio v3.1. Do you know if its compatible with the Ecplipse environment of InfoSphere Data Architect 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168?
