How do we maintain session between different servers. Suppose in an application, after session is established with server, control goes to new application then how do we code such that the session comes back to the same server from which it went. any inputs on this would be very helpful.

Our company has several tomcat servers, the load balancer forward the user requests ( in one session )to different servers. For manage the session, there is a central persistence DB which is shared by those tomcat server; the persistence control wake up every 200 millisecond to check if there is new object which need to be save to central persistence DB; For each request, there is also a filter which loading the session data from central persistence DB.
    hope that this is helpful.
