I am trying to install Biginsights in Fedora 9,after running ./start.sh
it is showing the following error in the /usr/biginsights-basic-linus64_b20110506_1753/installer-console/var/log/server.out
... that the line 320: in /usr/biginsights-basic-linus64_b20110506_1753/installer-console/bin/geronimo.sh --->cannot execute the binary file in /usr/biginsights-basic-linus64_b20110506_1753/_jvm/ibm-java-x86_64-60/jre/bin/java

BigInsights 1.2 currently supports SUSE and Redhat linux. Here is the system requirement document

To install biginsights on i686 you can follow this (for experimental)
1) Alter the install scripts to refer Fedora 9's JRE or some other x32 variant (modifying install scripts either override $JAVA_HOME or copy fedora JRE to JRE that comes with biginsights)
2) Borrow ibmpkcs.jar & xml.jar from biginsights jre to resolve references
3) Override the x64 vs x32 check in hdm-install-inplace.sh script
And, BigInsights gets installed on i686.
Did it on Fedora 14, hope that helps...

i have changed jre and i cleared that error. but the welcome page is disabled. next button is disabled. what i do?
i downloaded the jre file from net and replaced to biginsights/java/jre.
i moved out from server.out error. The console page(welcome page)is opened.
But the next button of welcome page is disabled.
What should i do?

Hello Mahendra, Have you found any solution for the disabled button on welcome page of installation ? I too face the same problem.
