Pinned topic java.lang.NullPointerException

‏2011-10-12T15:09:41Z |
I'm not sure where to begin so I start with the error reported back to me from the Web Service...
I am not getting any hard errors that is causing the pgm to fail. It appears to be a error coming back from the Web Service Server (I am the client) when I try to run the program.

What does this error mean?

WS.ENDPOINT = ....5...10...15...20...25...30...35...40...45...50...55...60 1
'http://tms-test.wellsfargo.com:81/tms305/services/monetaryTr' 61
'ansaction201001                                             ' 121
'                                                            ' 181
'                                                            ' WS.HANDLE = SPP:E99171F4B710F590 WS.EXCOCCURRED =
'0' WS.EXCCODE = 72 WS.EXCSTRING = ....5...10...15...20...25...30...35...40...45...50...55...60 1
'AxisSoapException: SOAP fault occurred: faultcode : soapen' 61
'v:Server.userException faultstring: java.rmi.RemoteException' 121
': MonetaryTransactionSoapBinding201001Impl; nested exception' 181
' is:   java.lang.NullPointerException faultactor :          ' 241
'                                                            ' 301
'                                                            '

Here is a snap shot of the code that is doing the work...

clear ws; WS.ENDPOINT =
'http://tms-test.wellsfargo.com:+         81/tms305/services/monetaryTransaction201001
';    clear rqs_Data; clear rsp_Data;

if stub_create_MonetaryTransactionPortType(ws)=*on;

if stub_op_postMonetaryTransaction( ws : rqs_DATA : rsp_DATA ) = *on; endif; stub_destroy_MonetaryTransactionPortType(ws); endif;

if ws.excOccurred = *on; msg = ws.excString; endif; dsply msg; *inlr = *on;

    I just want to put a answer out here so that if someone else runs into this problem you'll have some sort of direction to go down....
    I reached out to the team of the Web Service providor and reported the error to them. They told me the error I'm seeing is due to the elements required to comunicate to the Web service Server did not have values. So I faild the minimal requirements when filling out the form/elements.
