Pinned topic <?xml and validation

‏2011-10-07T17:14:39Z |
We have a vendor that sends us XML with a
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="sw_stylesheet.xsl"?>
as the first line. When we try to insert and validate this xml we get an error. If we strip the line off that would work, but then we are violating a rule that we keep all XML exactly as we receive it.

Is there anyway of handling this?

    Hi Ben,

    I will look into it later today. In the meantime, a few questions to understand better:
    (1) Just to make sure: is this on DB2 LUW or DB2 for z/OS?
    (2) What is the error message that you received?
    (3) What happens if you insert that XML without validation. Does it go through or do you also receive an error?

    Thanks,

    Matthias

    After doing some testing you suggested, it turns out we had registered the an older version of the schema. (Also this was on z/OS.)

    Thank you for your help.
