I would monitor IB traffic on our p575 AIX 5.3 nodes.
I tried fabric viewer (qlogic), connected from my laptop to one mngt server, but when I click on the "view performance" tab, I receive the message:
Cannot collect performance data
Do I need some agent installed on the nodes? Where I can find it? Or, there is some other tool to monitoring all IB traffic on compute nodes?
I read about a SMA/PMA "activation" on Power6 systems. Are they already enabled or have I to start them?
Thank you very much.

However, I'm looking for a tool that can monitoring the infiniband traffic on AIX, not only IP traffic (topas is good for this) but MPI communication also.
Is there some IBM-AIX product that can solve the issue?
