Pinned topic disciplines and phases on RUP

‏2011-10-04T22:02:17Z |
Hello, everybody!

I have some questions:

I would like to know if there is a relative importance between disciplines instantiated in each phase of RUP?

Or is there a percentage of effort related to each discipline instantiated in each phase of RUP?

How to know if a discipline is more important than another within the same phase?

A discipline has the same importance in different phases of RUP?

thanks

    Livia,

Look at Figure 1 at this link: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/ws-soa-term2/

This shows the relative level of effort of the disciplines during each phase in the lifecycle. This is a classic chart, often referred to as the "hump-chart".

Please note that this chart is a fairly dated. The philosophical underpinnings of software development methods have evoloved since this chart was created circa 1998/9.

    Hi
Relationship between discipline and phases in similar to a matrix, this means each discipline has its own value in each phase. You know , disciplines are static as well as phases are dynamic structure of RUP .n
