Re: NCO_MAIL and Send mail2011-09-16T11:40:12Z in response to RK_AGI am not sure about AIX. I followed the steps in the attached document on Linux platform.
Also make sure that Omnibus server details are configured on SMTP server to send and receive emails.
Hope it helps.

This looks great. I'm also planning to setup an email that will monitor the total counts of alarms. Anyone of you knows how to do it? This will be my evaluate part - select count(*) from alerts.status; and my problem now is the action tab for the trigger.

Try something like this
create or replace trigger evtcntmai
every 5 minutes
-- count the number of rows in alerts.status
for each row tt in alerts.status
set rc = rc + 1;
-- send some one an email with the current event count
execute procedure send_email( 'Total event count = ' + to_char(rc), ..... );
A couple of notes, you will see there is no evaluate clause in this trigger the for each row mechanism used here is more efficient than putting the query in the evaluate clause, the performance trouble shooting section of the docs has some information on that.
Secondly you will need to put the correct parameters in to the send_email procedure.
