I have the following problem with a DS3400 dual controller.
Controller A went defective and has been replaced.
After the replacement both controllers have Firmware version 06.70.22.00
and I tried to update them to the latest, 7.35.57.00.
When I start the upgrade tool of the Storage Manager 10.77.G5.14 it shows two lines,
the first with an "unmanaged" controller and the second line shows the storage system with the following errors:
"Storage partitions database corruption: There is a storage partitions mapping database error on controller B. You cannot upgrade the storage subsystem until the problem is resolved. Contact your technical support representative to resolve this issue."
2. Event log issues:
Too many critical events logged
Too many destination driver events
Too many page 2C events
Despite all above, the DS3400 system is in optimal state!!!
Can anyone give me a tip on how to proceed???
Thanks you in advance,

Re: DS3400: storage partitions mapping database error2011-09-14T20:12:49Z in response to agavApostolos,
you has created wrong configuration with old firmware 06.70.22.00 and new NVSRAM N1726D340R335V09 which is part of new firmware 07.35.57.00. You must update DS3400 firmware also upto ver.07.35.57.00.
If clearing of event logs not helped and you still have message "Storage partitions database corruption: There is a storage partitions mapping database error on controller B. You cannot upgrade the storage subsystem until the problem is resolved. Contact your technical support representative to resolve this issue." you need call to your local IBM HW Support.
