Pinned topic SAM Installation problem

‏2011-09-07T11:49:08Z |
Hi,
We have a PHP project on LAMP using Ubuntu Server 11.4

I have installed the folowing MQ programms:

MQSeriesClient-6.0.2-11.i386
MQSeriesSDK-6.0.2-11.i386
MQSeriesRuntime-6.0.2-11.i386
MQSeriesKeyMan-6.0.2-11.i386

and

gsk7bas-7.0-4.33.i386

Then I followed instructions to install SAM plugin for PHP:
phpize
./configure

phpize - worked out without warnings, however ./configure has some warnings:

configure: error: Please reinstall the XMS distribution

It seems like I don't have XMS distribution instaled on my system.

The MQ distributions was installed in /opt/mqm/ directory and seems like ./configure looking for wrong directory for XMS (/opt/IBM/.. - as it's seen in config.m4 file)

Please help, I've been stuck on this for a while now.

MQ is not supported on Ubuntu ( http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27011926 ).

It may or may not work, and IBM may not help you with problems.

      I run this example http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/v7r0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.mq.csqzac.doc%2Fpc10120_.htm
and it worked fine on ubuntu server 11 and suse 11.

But still can't figure out the problem with SAM. The same problem on SLES 11

      Any thoughts?

If you are having a problem with MQ on SLES, you can raise a service request with IBM, because SLES is a supported platform.
