The IBM Whole-system Analysis of Idle Time (WAIT) tool is now available free for a limited time:
WAIT complements Tivoli's product offerings in a number of ways: no installation required, high level analysis, and web browser interface.
Specifically, WAIT's high level analysis can help inform users when and where to look at detailed ITCAM data. Likewise, when looking at ITCAM data, WAIT's analysis can help bridge the gap between high-level ITCAM reporting (green/yellow/red, CPU utilization) and the rich set of agent data available from ITCAM. When ITCAM and ITM is not installed, WAIT agent-less, no-install capabilities may provide some insight into system activity and problems.
