Pinned topic Crawling Mircosoft Access and Mircosoft Excel data

Hello,

I've a question concerning supported data types in IBM Content Analytics 2.2. Is it possible to access data from a Microsoft Access database as well as data from Microsoft Excel (with multiple worksheets inside a single *.xls file).

Is it possible to access this data using a JDBC-Crawler and load the necessary JDBC-drivers (Access JDBC driver and Excel JDBC driver)?

If not possible, is there another way to access the data?
With Excel files I just know the possibility to convert the data to xml and crawl it using a Windows File crawler.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure if this is a one-time load or something that is going to be recurring but I would probably look at saving / exporting to CSV and just using the import feature.

Thanks very much for your answer. In the first step it's only a one-time-load to perform a PoT. Handling the data as CSV is much easier as coverting it to xml and making a file system load.

    Thanks!
