Pinned topic ENDJRNPF and Commitment control

‏2011-08-24T16:27:25Z |
Hi everyone.
I want to use commitment control within a program RPG. So in a CL, I create a journal receiver (CRTJRNRCV), I create a journal (CRTJRN), I use STRJRNPF for FILEA; I start commitment control (STRCMTCTL), I call my RPG program, and after the call I end commitment control ENDCMTCTL in the CL.
My question is: should I use ENDJRNPF on FILEA after ENDCMTCTL?
What is the use of a file journalized outside of a commitment control?
Is there a danger of an overflow in the future is I keep the FILEA journalized?

Note: I only need commitment control for my RPG Program. The FILEA is used a lot for many other programs.

Thank you,

By the way, sorry for my English, it is not my mother language.

Hi Felipo, the "DB2 for i" forum might be a better forum to ask this question.
