Hello,

I'm trying to get sMash 1.1.1.5 to work on my laptop running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional (Lenovo Thinkpad W510, Core i7 820). I have downloaded the zip file and unzipped to c:\ibm\zero. Then I run zero version sucessfully. After that I run zero create TestApp, which is also successful. But then when I run appbuilder it downloads a lot of modules but then fails with the following
...
CWPZT0537W: Resolve could not find the following dependencies
zero:p8.lib:[1.1.0.2, 2.0.0.0[
CWPZT0601E: Error: Command create failed
ERROR: Failed to create the AppBuilder application at C:\IBM\zero\.\installed\appbuilder
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

I tried to do the same on another 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate machine (Core i5 750 CPU) and it worked fine there. Then I also tried a Windows XP box as well as a Linux machine, they all worked. So this has nothing to do with network connection problems or such.

I then tried to copy the whole c:\ibm\zero directory from the working Windows 7 Ultimate machine to this failing one, just to see what happened. But when trying appbuilder start it then fails with:
CWPZC8029E: ZSO could not be located for the current platform of OS=windows, arch=x86_64.
CWPZT0601E: Error: Command start failed
ERROR: Command failed: start

To me this all sounds like some kind of platform incompatibility issue. Why would appbuilder build correctly on one Win 7 64-bit box (i5 750 CPU) but choke on p8.lib on another Windows 7 64-bit box (i7 820 CPU)?

Thanks for any help,

//Henrik Sjostrand

    This error is most likely due to using a 64-bit JVM rather than a supported 32-bit JVM.

    That did the trick - using a 32-bit JVM solved the problem.

    Thanks,
