Pinned topic WBE questions

‏2011-07-13T20:24:04Z |
Hi,

I am new to WBE and desperately looking answer for following.

I have one event type E1 which has following fields

F1, F2, and F3 once this event comes and I create an action notifying using JMS queue.

I have another type E2 which has only one filed F1 (value for which is same is F1 from E1).

Following are my questions.

No when WBE receive the event E2 I would like to query all the previous events of type E1 where F1 is same as E2 event and then navigate thru the result set of all the previous E1 events and Read the F2 and F3 values from those events and create another event type (E3 with F2 and F3 values).

Is it possible to delete an event based on context as part of the action?

Any help is really appreciated.

Please let me know if need to provide any other info.

    Hi bplboy,

Presumably, you will have to use the Context Scope accumultive array to the history you are interested in. Data recorded in a Context Scope accumultive array can only be expired but not deleted. You probably want to set up another Context Scope accumultive array to record what have already been processed (or ignorable) to achieve the same effect.

    HI WBE,

Thanks for your quick response, could please point me from where I can get some sample code? It would be great help, I am looking to query the history database based on one of the fields in current event and then I need to read the results, read two fields from each history event and generate another event for WBE.

It will be great great help if you can please provide me some sample code and guide me from where I can get that.

    Thanks again.

    Hi bplboy,

I don't have any sample code in hand. But I believe to use intermediate object array (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wbevents/v7r0m1/index.jsp) to access event data sent in in the past. Typically, you need to use javascript to process intermediate object array to, for example, initialize action object fields. There are some relevant examples here http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wbevents/v7r0m1/index.jsp.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for pointing to correct URL's, I was able to look into these, got some idea but still it is not very clear to me. In case if you come across some sample code, please update me.

    Thanks again for your time.
