Pinned topic Issues with SCA Application in generating plugin-cfg.xml file

‏2011-07-12T23:09:34Z |
The SCA Feature Pack and SCA in WebSphere Application Server V8 do not currently support auto-generating the plugin-cfg.xml file. Here are two possible solutions for resolving the client's issue:

1) Disable auto-generation of plugin-cfg as described here to prevent the manually updated file from getting overwritten:

http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/wsbroker/redirect?version=compass&product=was-nd-dist&topic=uwsv_plugin_props

2) Use a Proxy server rather than a webserver to route the requests. The proxy server does not require a plugin file. This article explains how to create a proxy server:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/fep/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.websphere.soafep.multiplatform.doc/info/ae/ae/tjpx_createps.html
Then once the proxy server is created and configured, the SCA Service can be configured for the proxy server as outlined in the following article:

The URL for how an SCA Service can be configured for the proxy server was typed in wrong. The correct one is

    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/fep/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.websphere.soafep.multiplatform.doc/info/ae/ae/tsca_scawebservices_binding_customendpt.html
