Pinned topic WAS 7.0.0.0 (Spring 3.1 + Hibernate 3 + JPA 2.0)

‏2011-07-12T10:21:00Z |
I have configured 3rd party persistence provider in my application, it got successfully deployed on WebSphere 7.0 by creating the Shared Libraries and I have also provided the driver(specific to my application) in the shared library to get it loaded through the customized class loader.
When I am trying to hit the database then I am getting below error, below is my persistence xml and my error log. Do I need to make any hibernate specific changes in persistence.xml. My entityManager and entityTransaction definition is in Spring's application context.

Any one having suggestions on this?

    MaheshC,

Assume the jdbc driver is in the classpath, it looks like (from the stack),

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
    at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
    at org.springframework.jdbc.datasource.DriverManagerDataSource.getConnectionFromDriverManager(DriverManagerDataSource.java:173)

Spring is trying to find the available jdbc driver and get a connection to the database but failed.

You may want to view the application/module's classloader content (See Troubleshooting class loaders) to determine if the jdbc driver is accessible by the Spring framework. This highly depends on where the jdbc driver and Spring framework classes are loaded in the application/module classloader hierarchy.

From admin console, you can also "Enable the class loader viewer service to view the list of classes loaded." from the module's "classloader viewer" to get more details on the list of classes loaded by each classloader.
