When I try to install 64 bit DB2 Express C v97_4 on Windows 7, I choose Local User or Domain user account option on the DB2 adminstrator server dialog. The install fails with the message:
Error: 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.805",type="win32",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64".Please refer to help and support for more information.
I have tried installing as an administrator and I get the same error
Any tips or pointers greatly appreciated.

Re: Problems installing DB2 Express C on Windows 7 problems2012-07-17T23:18:42Z in response to BreakoGoto Control Panel select Administrative Tools select Services look for Windows Installer and Windows Module Installer and make sure both are set to Automatic Startup. If not change them to Automatic Startup and reboot the Server. Now you should be able to install.
