All setup step goes well, except a error.
I post the picture here.

After installing, the "Informix IDS - XXXX" appear in "Services".
But can not run.

    Hi,

    what is in the install.log?

Have you installed it as administrator?
The error message looks like the installer can't write to the registry?

    Regards,
    Marion

    To get all permission.
I log to system with "adminstrtor", and then install it again.

    Same problem.

    "install.log" do you mean "IBM_Informix_11.70_InstallLog.log"?

I just see all "Status: SUCCESSFUL", I but I still post it here.

    Hi,

don't know what is wrong. I would do this:

First check the registry. It should look like the attached examples (ifx.reg, sqlhosts.reg).
If registry is fine, try to start the service.

    Under Properties->Start Parameter: -iy

    If it does not work:
Open the dbaccess command windows (Run as administrator)
    execute oninit -ivy
    and watch the messages.

Don't close the window as long as the instance is not initialized, otherwise the instance will die.

Run onstat -m in another command window.

    Regards,
    Marion

    Hi,

    have you checked this file:
    'd:\IBM\Informix\11.70\etc\buildsmi_out.ol_informix1170'

Regarding oninit -iv (or oninit -v when an instance already exists):
    You won't get a response:
"Verbose output complete: mode = 5" means the server is online.

Now open a second windows and check with onstat -m what is going on.
Don't close the window until sysmaster/sysadmin are build.

If sysmaster/sysadmin are built you can bring down the server (second window, onmode -ky) and try to start the service.

In your case sysmaster was not built for some reason.
    Please check the file above.
Check also the complete online.log for other error messages.

    Regards,
    Marion

    Hi Ravindra,

there is nothing special, just run ids_install.exe and answer the questions.

Your error message points to a permission problem.
    Are you installing as administrator?

    Marion
