Re: Evaluation of Beta Driver for IBM SDK for Java 7.02011-06-22T13:42:42ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer.I've been using Beta1 for my (Eclipse based) development for a couple of days and it seemed to be working fine. I had the impression that it's a bit slower than Oracle 1.7 on my app. But good Java benchmarking is quite an art form in itself so your mileage may vary.
One peculiarity I did notice was this:
I'm debugging a second Eclipse based product from my Eclipse development environment. The debuggee is using Beta1. When I hit a breakpoint in my application, the debugger often can't locate the source code corresponding to the stack position of the debuggee. A workaround was to click on a different stack frame and then back to the top of the stack to see the source code. When I switched back to Oracle 1.7 the problem was gone.
Otherwise a smooth ride.
