    Repository Export/Import

The project repository may be exported from production and then imported into the disaster recovery environment. Depending on your CIOS release, the export will contain only project data (with all orchestration settings, configuration property values, and downtime schedules). Newer releases will contain both project data and runtime settings (e.g., network addresses). In the latter case, on import, you may choose what to import.

    Repository Import

I am not sure which release introduced the ability to import projects and/or settings but the functionality does exist in 4.0.3. In either case, it is an all-or-nothing import (you cannot select individual projects or a category of settings).

What about User Data?  Is that part of the Export?  If not, in which CIOS release will it be included?

    Repository Export

The current repositiory export is made up of two segments: proj-data.xml (project information) and user-data.xml (appliance information). (Exports from much older versions of CIOS may only contain the proj-data.xml.)
proj-data.xml contains everything project related. For each project, it contains everything that is maintainable in the project view (e.g., orchestration settings, configuration property values, and schedules).
user-data.xml contains data corresponding to values that administrator can modify (e.g., network settings, and users).
When you import, you can choose to do either proj-data, user-data, or both. If you choose to import projects, you must import ALL projects (you cannot select indiviidual projects). Similarly, you cannot select which appliance settings in user-data.xml to import.
